Ruth Zerwitz-Berenson and Muninder Kaur Ahluwalia Receive Outstanding Advisor Awards

Montclair State University's Center for Advising and Student Transitions (CAST) has named two members of the College of Education and Human Services as recipients of the Montclair State University Outstanding Academic Advising Awards for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Ruth Zerwitz-Berenson, Counselor in the Teacher Education Advocacy Center in the Center of Pedagogy, has been named the Outstanding Academic Advisor.

Dr. Muninder Kaur Ahluwalia, Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Leadership, has been named the Outstanding Advisor to Graduate Students.

The annual awards program received nearly 50 nominations this year; a remarkable testament to the hard work and dedication displayed by the University advising community.  Ms. Zerwitz-Berenson and Dr. Ahluwalia, along with the two other Montclair State University recipients, will be representing Montclair State University as nominees for the national academic advising awards sponsored by NACADA, The Global Community for Academic Advising.
