Dean Francine Peterman has been selected to serve on the Advisory Board for the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center (MACC@WestEd) operated by WestEd to help state leadership in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania advance their education reforms.
WestEd, a non-profit research, development and service agency, working to promote excellence, achieve equity, and improve learning for children, youth, and adults, was selected by the US Department of Education to operate the MACC@WestEd. It is part of a federal technical assistance network of 15 Regional Comprehensive Centers and seven supporting Content Centers. The Comprehensive Centers are charged with building state capacity to implement statewide reform initiatives in seven priority areas: Standards and Assessments, Education and Leader Effectiveness, School Turnaround, Early Childhood School Readiness, College and Career Readiness, Innovations Scale Up, and Effective Data Use. http://macc-atwested.org/
