Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship Fall Events

Daryl Bryant '00 will come back to Montclair State on September 20 to speak about crowdfunding.

The Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship opened earlier this year and serves the entire Montclair State University community, including current students, alumni and faculty/staff. The Center is also a resource for the New Jersey business community, especially startups and entrepreneurs. It offers free events that bring exciting entrepreneurs onto campus to discuss their work. Below are some of the upcoming free events for fall 2013. Alumni are encouraged to attend.

“Crowdfunding – What’s the Latest Thinking/Insight on the Implementation of the JOBS Act?”

This crowdfunding seminar will provide an insightful look at the latest developments and potential impact resulting from implementation of the JOBS Act. The crowdfunding ecosystem is rapidly growing and there is a vast amount of energy pouring into the crowdfunding space as a result of the JOBS act.  There are myriad issues which still need to be addressed as numerous organizations begin to shift their business models to take advantage of crowdfunding opportunities.  An enormous amount of resources and capital are at stake.  This seminar will bring together key players – national leaders -- from the various disciplines invested in equity/debt funding of start-ups, including investors, start-ups, broker-dealers, legal-regulatory and crowdfunding portals & platforms.  Participants in this seminar will walk away with fresh insights and an enhanced perspective on crowdfunding opportunities.
