The Montclair State University campus buzzed with activity
on Saturday, October 12, as crowds of students, alumni, families, and friends
turned out to celebrate Homecoming 2013.
The full day of events and activities kicked off with a
sold-out family pancake breakfast for first-year students and their families
and continued on with alumni reunions, sporting events, campus tours, open
houses, the Student Showcase, a campus carnival and much more.
Always an anticipated event, the Homecoming
football game drew the largest crowds of the day and although the Red Hawks fell to the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons 48-14, the enthusiasm and support of
the home team fans was inspiring. Halftime festivities included introductions
of Montclair State Athletic Hall of Famers and entertainment by the
cheerleading squads, bands and Montclair's Drums of Thunder.
The beautiful, sunny fall day added to the festive
atmosphere and served as the perfect backdrop for visitors to reunite with
friends, enjoy great entertainment and fun, get reacquainted with the campus
and show their Red Hawk pride!
