Undefeated Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 1 in Nation

No. 1 ranking is first in program history

For the first time in its history, the Montclair State University women’s soccer program is No. 1 in the nation. The Red Hawks jumped two notches to the top spot in the latest D3Soccer.com Top 25 poll released on Tuesday morning.

The new ranking for women's soccer now gives Montclair State simultaneous teams ranked No. 1 for the first time in its history. The Red Hawk field hockey squad currently occupies the top spot in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll.

Montclair State, already off to the best start in program history, is the only unbeaten and untied team in Division III at 16-0. The Red Hawks have already locked up the NJAC regular-season championship for a second consecutive season and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

Montclair State hosts Ramapo College on Wednesday, October 30, at Montclair State University Soccer Park (7:00 p.m.) for the final game of the season. A win will put them in the record books as having completed the 10th undefeated regular season in Montclair State athletic history.
