The Montclair State University women's soccer team celebrates their undefeated regular season.

The Montclair State University women’s soccer team made history on Wednesday, Oct. 30, as the top-ranked Red Hawks rolled past Ramapo College 9-0 at Montclair State University Soccer Park to cap off their regular season undefeated.

Senior Jessica Kiniery had a hat trick and also added an assist as Montclair State, ranked first by D3Soccer.com and sixth by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, improved to 17-0 on the season and finished its NJAC perfect for the first time in school history.

The win gave the Red Hawks the tenth undefeated regular season in Montclair State athletic history joining four football squads (1947, 1960, 1964 and 1982), the 1971 men’s cross country team, the 1989 men’s lacrosse team, the 2008 men’s soccer team and the 1970-71 and 2012-13 women’s basketball teams as the only group to go through their regular season schedule without a loss.

Montclair State, the defending NJAC champion, will now have a little time off before hosting an NJAC Tournament semifinal on Tuesday, November 5, as the Red Hawks will face either No. 5 seed Kean University or No. 4 seed Richard Stockton at 7:00 p.m.
