Red Hawks to face TCNJ for conference crown, NCAA bid

Freshman forward Gianna Moglino scored twice while senior Jennifer Tafro picked up a goal and assist as top-ranked and top-seeded Montclair State University downed fourth-seeded Richard Stockton 3-0 in the semifinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Field Hockey Tournament on Wednesday evening.

Ranked No. 1 in the nation in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, the Red Hawks (19-1) are aiming for their second straight NJAC title and a repeat trip to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship Tournament.

Montclair State will host second-seeded and ninth-ranked The College of New Jersey (16-3) at Sprague Field on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. to determine the NJAC champion. The winner of the game also receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship Tournament that begins next week.
