More than 60 alumni recently had an opportunity to reconnect over breakfast during the Graduate School Fall Open House. The breakfast, sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations in October, was open exclusively to alumni who were considering their alma mater for Graduate School.
Joan Ficke ’71, Dean of the Graduate School, gave the group update on the growth of the Graduate School and its programs.
“It was wonderful to see so many Montclair State alumni participate in our Graduate Open House breakfast in October”, Ficke said. “Given the interest in our graduate programs, and the lively discussion, we expect to make sure this is an annual opportunity for our alumni to meet faculty program directors and explore future possibilities to re-join the Montclair academic community. It was great to have this chance to connect!”
Alumni were treated to a continental breakfast, had the opportunity to network with fellow alumni and get all the up-to-date news about their alma mater.
Based on the success of the event, the Office of Alumni Relations and Graduate School plan to host an alumni breakfast at each Open House and plan to expand the speaking program and networking opportunities.
“The breakfast was a great opportunity to welcome and recognize our alumni and thank them for choosing Montclair State again,” notes Jeanne Marano, Executive Director of Alumni Relations.
