WEATHER ALERT: University will close at 1:30pm; Classes on/after 1pm canceled

Due to changes in the weather report, Montclair State University will be closing at 1:30 p.m. today.

Classes:  Classes beginning on or after 1:00 p.m. are cancelled. Fully online classes will remain on schedule.

Events/Activities:  All evening events and activities are cancelled.

University Facilities employees:  University Facilities essential employees should report for their regularly scheduled shifts unless informed otherwise by their supervisor.

Campus Shuttle Service:  The campus shuttle buses will continue to run regular service until 4:00 p.m.  From 4-11 p.m. only Route A will run, as conditions permit.

Parking: Cars must be moved from surface lots, to allow for effective snow removal.

Residential Students:  Students parked in Residential Lots must move their cars to CarParc Diem by 5:00 p.m. today. Vehicles may be moved as early as 1:00 p.m.

Residential students' vehicles must be returned to surface lots by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 4. It is imperative that residential students' vehicles vacate CarParc Diem to allow for normal school operation tomorrow.

Dining Services: Sam’s Dining Hall and Freeman Dining Hall will remain open on a normal schedule.

All retail dining venues follow University dictated times for closing.  Check Dining Services website for exceptions. 

Student Recreation Center: The Recreation Center will close at 4:00 p.m.

Library: The Library will close at 2:00 p.m.  Laptop lending and Cafe Diem will also remain open until 2:00 p.m.

Children’s Center:  Is closed today.
