The Department of Secondary and Special Education would like to invite you to:

Dual Certification MAT Program with a focus on Inclusive iSTEM Education

Information Session

On Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 4 p.m.

In University Hall, Room 2118

This information session will provide prospective students with more information on Montclair State University’s inclusive iSTEM education program for students interested in math or science concentrations. Graduates of the MAT program complete 48 credits to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), NJ initial teaching certification in mathematics or science and the NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement.

The iSTEM program is unique in that it focuses on inquiry, innovation and evidence-based practices, incorporates supervised traditional and non-traditional field experiences (supported by mentor teachers), utilizes carefully designed hybrid/online coursework and includes ongoing, high-quality mentoring, induction and professional development for both pre-service and experience teacher-mentors.

If you have a background in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science and other related disciplines, or real-world experience in a technical-based career, we encourage you to attend our information session and learn more about the MAT program.
