Women’s Basketball Advances to NJAC Championship Game

Red Hawks oust Kean in semifinals, 76-62

The Montclair State women's basketball team got outstanding performances from NJAC Player of the Year Melissa Tobie and Defensive Player of the Year Nicosia Henry as the top-seeded Red Hawks knocked off fourth-seeded Kean University, 76-62, in the NJAC Tournament semifinals on February 25. 

Montclair State, ranked in the Top 10 by both D3Hoops.com and USA Today Division III Poll, will host local rival William Paterson University in the NJAC Championship game on Friday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. The winner of the NJAC Tournament earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament with selections and matchups announced on Monday, March 3, at 2:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
