Members of the New Jersey General Assembly Budget Committee will
hold a public hearing at Montclair State University on Wednesday, March 12,
2014 to gather public input regarding Gov. Christie’s proposed $34.4
billion FY15 state budget.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Conference Center 7th Floor at University Hall on the campus of Montclair State University. The hearing can be viewed live via online streaming at montclair.edu/webcast
Those who want to testify can register online at njleg.state.nj.us. Click on “online registration” under the “Budget Public
Hearings” heading or register by phone by calling the Legislative Budget and
Finance Office at (609) 847-3105.
Members of the public attending the hearing will be asked to show identification and to sign a log book. Members of the University community must show their University ID to attend the hearings. The Montclair State University Police Department will be handling security for the hearing and implementing appropriate security measures, no back packs please.
Those attending the hearing may park free of charge in the Red Hawk Deck parking garage located on campus. From Normal Avenue, visitors who are driving should turn right onto College Avenue, which bends to the left. After the bend, the Red Hawk Deck will be visible on the right, adjacent to the Alexander Kasser Theater.
After parking in the deck, visitors may exit the garage on foot from the fifth floor of the Red Hawk Deck onto the walking path that leads directly to University Hall/College of Education and Human Services (it is a Spanish Mission Style building—the largest building on campus). Once in University Hall, visitors should go through the lobby and take the elevators at the north end of the building to the Conference Center on the seventh floor.
Visitors wishing to take a shuttle bus from the Red Hawk Deck to University Hall should take the elevator to the second floor, and exit the parking deck. When a campus bus arrives it will take you to University Hall.
