At Bristol-Myers Squibb, our medicines have helped countless patients in their fight against serious diseases. By uniquely combining the reach and resources of a major pharmaceutical company with the can-do spirit and agility of an innovative biotechnology company, we have transformed into a new kind of enterprise – a next-generation BioPharma leader. Helping patients prevail in their fight against serious diseases is more than our goal. It is what energizes us to come to work every day and is the foundation of our business strategy.
Pharmaceutical Development works with colleagues throughout the entire development process from discovery, all the way to commercial launch, at which point they transition the product to the manufacturing division. Additionally, PD also manufactures, packages, labels and distributes all of the clinical supplies for each and every clinical study that our company runs in more than 50 countries. We are looking for candidates who are proven team players; appreciate the challenge of pursuing unique scientific discovery in an emerging field, and who demonstrate solid operational, interpersonal, project management and collaborative skills. We believe this starts with our summer intern program.
Summer interns will work with a mentor for ~10 weeks on a guided research project within a PD Project Team. The program is organized to ensure that interns gain valuable industry and functional experience, work on challenging assignments, learn about BMS and meet company representatives.
The program will feature:
- An orientation, including an overview of company structure, products and brands
- An introduction to the R&D and PD organizations
- Exposure to senior management and business leaders
- A mentor program
- Formal review and feedback sessions
