Laura Freixas is a novelist, short story writer, journalist, translator, and literary critic. Among her works are the novels, Último domingo en Londres (1997; The Last Sunday in London), Entre amigas (1998; Just between Friends), and Amor o lo que sea (2005; Love or Whatever It Is); the essay Literatura y mujeres (2000; Literature and Women); the anthology Madres e hijas (1996; Mothers and Daughters); and the collections of short stories, El asesino en la muñeca (1988; The Wrist Murderer), and Cuentos a los cuarenta (2001; Tales at the Age of Forty). Her most recent book is an autobiography of her adolescence in Barcelona in the 1970s.
