The Women's Center and the Women's Studies Program at MSU have coordinated lectures and events to celebrate Women's History Month. Highlights of the month include a Women's Health and Wellness Conference featuring Dr. Susan J. Blumenthal, Assistant Surgeon General of the U.S., "Why Ask. Why Tell. Doing Lesbian History", a lecture by lesbian theorist and critic Lillian Faderman, and "Women: Creativity and Dissent", a lecture by Egyptian feminist and novelist, Nawal El Saadawi.
