Kaleidoscope, a concert showcasing the many aspects of the John J. Cali School of Music will take place in the Alexander Kasser Theater on the campus of Montclair State University on October 12, 2007 at 7:30 pm and October 13, 2007 at 8:00pm. Tickets to these performances are $15 to the general public and MSU undergraduates can attend at no charge with a valid MSU ID.
Since the inaugural performance in October 2004, Kaleidoscope has become an annual highlight on the MSU concert calendar. As the title "kaleidoscope" suggests, the concert is a 90-minute performance featuring music of all styles - choral, symphonic, band, jazz, vocal, chamber, musical theatre and solo instrumental. The audience is surrounded by ever-changing sonic elements within 20 student and faculty performances presented in a variety of configurations on the Alexander Kasser Theater stage. This event showcases all of the major student ensembles as well as an array of chamber and solo performances. Kaleidoscope is also a celebration of the diverse faculty and students who make up the John J. Cali School of Music.
