The New Shanghai Circus will delight and thrill audiences at Montclair State University's Memorial Auditorium on Friday, April 14, at 7 p.m. There is a "Schooltime" performance at 10:30 a.m. the same day.
The New Shanghai Circus was born out of the 2,500-year-old Chinese tradition of acrobatic circus which combines artistry and athleticism. Spectacular feats of strength and balance are displayed with artistry and athleticism in this breathtaking new show. From the contortionist to the plate spinner to the traditional Dragon Dancers, this production from mainland China is sure to thrill adults and youngsters alike.
The Los Angeles Times said the show was filled with "show-stopping rarities of daunting difficulty," while the Kansas City Star said that "The talents of the acrobats are beyond compare...watch these acrobats and be stunned and thrilled." The Dallas Times Herald said that "The troupe bills itself as incredible, but even that may be an understatement."
