Montclair State University’s President’s Commission on Affirmative Action (PCAA) will present Affirmative Action Day 2008 on Wednesday, February 27. Featuring keynote speaker, New Jersey Assemblywoman Sheila Y. Oliver, the event will take place at the Alexander Kasser Theater from 2-4 p.m.

Representing Montclair’s own 34^th District, Assemblywoman Oliver is the Vice Chair of the state’s Human Services committee and a member of the Higher Education and Labor committees. In addition to her keynote speech, student presentations by the Montclair State University Poetry Slam Team and by Peer Educator for Equity and Diversity’s Stephanie Garcia will also be featured.

Additionally, over 15 MSU Student Clubs and Organizations will be on hand for a Meet and Greet.

Affirmative Action Day 2008 is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be available.
