This is a public safety advisory. The University has received a threat against the campus community timed for Thursday, April 10, 2008.
On Monday evening, April 7, 2008, the University Police received a report of a message written on a desk in Dickson Hall threatening the safety of the campus. Since that time, this matter has been under active and intensive investigation by University Police. At this point, there is no evidence to confirm that the threat is credible, nor can it yet be dismissed as a prank.
The University Police are especially interested in speaking to any students or employees who had classes or any other business in Room 276 of Dickson Hall at any time from Thursday, April 3, 2008, 5:15 p.m. to Monday, April 7, 2008, 4:00 p.m. Any such individuals or anyone who may know anything at all about this matter who have not, as yet, had an interview with a University Police officer are urged to call 973-655-5222 or come into the University Police headquarters immediately. All information will be kept confidential.
