Montclair State Staff were recently recognized for their generous donations to charity at a breakfast sponsored by the Employee Charitable Campaign Committee. Donors were presented certificates of appreciation and thanked for their generosity.

“When we began participating in this campaign the total funds raised was a mere $1000,” says Lynarkah Montique, Senior Human Resources Generalist and coordinator of the campaign. “This year we raised over $23,000. This was our best year because our participants didn't allow the obstacles facing our economy to stop them from helping others in need.”

Since 1985, the New Jersey State Employees Charitable Campaign has annually raised money for a variety of charitable organizations under the umbrella of the United Way. In 2007, state employees contributed over two million dollars to the campaign.
