English as a Second Language Instruction Opportunity

Come join Montclair State University's fall non-credit English program for speakers of other languages offering English instruction and practice at all levels of proficiency. Students from the community or visiting the area who have the minimum of a high school diploma may enroll in day or evening classes depending on family or work schedules. This is a non-degree program that does not require matriculation at the University.

Proper class placement is essential for effective learning. Therefore, each new student is assessed individually for English language proficiency. Because placement is so important, all registration takes place in person. Our fall registration is scheduled on August 26 and August 28 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Freeman Hall Annex, room 4A. All classes are held on the Montclair State University campus.
