Masterson Named NJAC Men's Soccer Offensive POTW

Montclair, NJ (9/15/08) – Senior forward Tyler Masterson (Long Valley, NJ / West Morris Central) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Masterson recorded six points as the sixth-ranked Red Hawks won a pair of games last week by identical 6-0 scores.

Masterson tied for team honors with seven points during the week. He had a goal and assist (a second goal was waved off) as Montclair downed Centenary on Wednesday. He then assisted on the first two goals before scoring one of his own as MSU completed the week with the win over Massachusetts College.

His seven points helped him move into a tie with Gus Moramaco for 13th place on the all-time MSU scoring list with 67. Masterson currently ranks second in the NJAC in both points (11) and assists (5).
