Attention Accepted Transfer Students!

Important Information About Attending a Transfer & Adult Learning Orientation

Attend a Transfer & Adult Orientation!

Once again, we congratulate you on your outstanding achievements and on being accepted as a Transfer Student for the Spring 2009 semester! As you go through the process of becoming an official Montclair State University Red Hawk, remember the importance of attending a Transfer & Adult Learning Orientation. The Orientation is a great opportunity for you to hear valuable presentations from the Center of Academic Advising & Adult Learning, meet with an Advisor in your major, and mix and mingle with new Transfer Students like you.

Because we want to ensure that you are as prepared as possible for the upcoming semester, we ask that you review your Analysis of Academic Progress (credit evaluation/audit) before the event. To help you to understand and interpret the Analysis, the Center of Academic Advising & Adult Learning has prepared a tutorial that will guide you through the process of reviewing your Analysis. After you complete the tutorial, you will be asked to complete a brief "Audit Challenge" to ensure that you have understood the Analysis. Once you have completed the process of reviewing your Analysis of Academic Progress, you will be able to register for the Transfer & Adult Learning Orientation!

If, after completing the tutorial and carefully reviewing your Analysis, you still have questions, Transfer Counselors are available to assist you. Each Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 2:00pm and 7:00pm, we open up the phone lines exclusively for Accepted Transfer Students. Should you wish to speak to a Transfer Counselor about your Analysis of Academic Progress, please call us at 973-655-5118.

If you have questions about the Transfer & Adult Learning Orientation, please contact the Center of Academic Advising & Adult Learning at 973-655-7114 (M-F, 8:30-4:30).

Again, welcome to Montclair State University!
