Fischer Named NJAC Football Offensive POTW For Third Time

Montclair, NJ (11/2/08) – Freshman quarterback Tom Fischer (Livingston, NJ / Livingston) earned his third New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Week honor on Sunday. Fischer played a key role in helping No. 23 Montclair State to its third straight victory with a 38-14 win at Western Connecticut.

In the win, he completed 22-of-28 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns. He registered a 14-yard scoring strike on the Red Hawks’ opening possession and capped off the day with passing touchdowns of 34 and 20 yards in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. Fischer currently ranks second in the NJAC in pass efficiency with a mark of 146.0.
