"Though near-term economic struggles may be painful, the long-range
outlook is one of growth for meetings and conference organizers, who
are riding out the downturn by heading back to school.
Every semester, both sections of Introduction to Leisure Industries and Tourism are packed to the gills at Montclair State University.
Growing demand for the class, and similar courses, can be directly linked to the program’s move to the business school several years ago, says Jack Samuels, coordinator of the leisure industries and tourism program in the marketing department."
