Montclair, New Jersey --- Jamieson (Jamie) Bilella was recently named Director of Summer Sessions and Special Programs at Montclair State University.
In an announcement welcoming Bilella to the University community, Provost and Vice President for Academy Affairs Willard Gingerich stated that Bilella's new responsibilities "will include the analysis of summer course availability within the context of enrollment management issues and the development of contemporary new programs to meet the needs of our evolving and growing students and public constituencies."
Bilella holds degrees from Drew University in Economics (with honors) and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. Prior to joining Montclair State, Bilella was the dean of academic operation at DeVry University, where he was responsible for academic operations, budgeting, the Registrar's office, academic policy, tutoring, advisement and marketing the summer trimester. Prior to his position at DeVry, he served as associate dean for business and information systems programs, while concurrently teaching business systems, computer applications and principles of management.
A resident of East Brunswick, New Jersey, Bilella has participated in numerous professional organizations, including the North American Association of Summer Sessions and the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers.
