The Prof men are 6-2 overall and the women have a 3-4 record. Both teams are undefeated in the conference with a 3-0 NJAC mark. The Red Hawk men are 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference while the women have a record of 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the NJAC.
In the women’s diving, the Profs’ Samantha Rottkamp (so. Bridgeton,
NJ/Cumberland Reg.) won both one meter events. She totaled 165.05 in
the first event and 207.80 in the second. The Red Hawks’ Jacklyn Beck
took second place (109.15) in the first one meter diving while Laura Hess (so. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) was second (152.70) in the second set of dives.
On the women's side Montclair State won both of the relay events. The 200 medley relay (1:57.06) included Nicole Van Avery (fr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick), Laura Spadoni (so. Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area), Lauren Uckar (fr. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) and Raquel Erwin (sr. Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood). Uckar, Alli Golden (fr. Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls), Christina Crossin (fr. Milford, CT/Lauralton Hall) and Erwin were on the freestyle relay.
Spadoni took first place in the 200 IM (2:22.00) and the 100
breaststroke (1:09.74). Erwin swam a winning time of 25.65 in the 50
freestyle and Van Avery tied for second (26.63). Van Avery also had a
second place in the 100 freestyle (57.49). Kaitlin Muchler (sr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) came in second in the 200 freestyle (2:06.11).
