Masklee Named NJAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Montclair, NJ (4/20/09) – Junior lefthander John Masklee (Totowa, NJ / Seton Hall Prep) was named the NJAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Masklee becomes the second consecutive Red Hawk to earn NJAC Pitcher of the Week honors after picking up a pair of key victories on the mound for the Red Hawks.

He first surrendered just two runs and one walk in 5.2 innings of work to claim the win in MSU’s 6-4 non-conference road win at No. 10
Rensselaer. Four days later, he allowed just one earned run on six hits in seven innings of work while striking out five for the victory in the Red Hawks’ 16-5 NJAC win over TCNJ which snapped the Lions’
eight-game winning streak.

Masklee currently ranks tied for eighth in the NJAC in victories with four on the season.
