Touching on topics ranging from the lack of state support for
higher education to the many achievements of Montclair State students, faculty,
and staff, President Susan A. Cole delivered her annual spring address to the University
Community at the Kasser Theater on April 22.
Topics of focus in the address included the proposed New
Jersey state budget and the impact that it will have on the University and on
students, and the importance of Montclair State to New Jersey, which President
Cole illustrated by highlighting some of the University’s many outstanding
graduates and their accomplishments.
President Cole also spoke of the need to continue to inform state legislators about the importance of public higher education to the state, and urged
everyone to join the NJ College
Promise Action Network to aid in this cause.
