Streaman, Bond Named to Baseball Mid-Atlantic Region Team
The two helped MSU to a 26-19 record this season, a second-place finish in the NJAC and a berth in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament.
Streaman led the Red Hawks in wins this season as he went 6.2 with a 2.91 ERA. In 18 appearances this season, he started eight games and pitched 65 innings alloing 57 hits, striking out 38 and walking 14. He also recorded one save. Named the NJAC Pitcher of the Week once during the year, he earned a win over then No. 1 Eastern Connecticut and also got thevictory in MSU's first-round NJAC Tournament win over Ramapo College. Streaman also put together nine scoreless inning against eventual conference champion TCNJ.
Streaman ranked fourth in the NJAC in ERA and was ranked fifth in innings pitched and victories, seventh in batting average against (.232).
Bond batted .298 in hits first season with Montclair State appearing in 44 games with 38 starts. He collected 45 hits and scored 30 times while belting 10 home runs and driving in 33 on the season. Bond had a slugging percentage of .563 and added six doubles and two triples.
Bone ranked third in the NJAC this season in home runs and was 12th in slugging percentage and total bases (85) while also ranking sixth in the league in two-out RBI with 19.
