Tepperman Selected NJAC Women's Soccer Defensive POTW

Montclair, NJ (9/14/09) - Senior Leah Tepperman (North Andover, MA / North Andover) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Tepperman earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after allowing just one goal in 270 minutes of action during a 3-0 week of play for the Red Hawks.

She opened the week by collecting nine saves for her second shutout of the season in a 2-0 non-conference road win at Stevens. Three days later, she collected five saves while surrendering just one goal in a 3-1 win over Western Connecticut during the Manhattanville Valiant Classic. She wrapped up the week by notching five saves for her third shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Mt. Holyoke.

Tepperman currently is tied for the conference lead in shutouts (3), while ranking second in the league in save percentage (.897).
