Brown Named NJAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Montclair, NJ (10/12/09) – Sophomore back Kevin Brown (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Brown becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after playing a key role in MSU’s 2-1 come-from-behind NJAC road victory at Rutgers-Camden. He anchored a Red Hawk defense which held the Scarlet Raptors to only thee shots on goal for MSU’s seventh consecutive win. He also picked up his first career point by assisting on the game-winning goal with just over three minutes remaining in regulation.

Brown is a key member of the Red Hawks’ defense which currently leads the NJAC in team goals against average (0.40).
