Michael Cullen Named NJAC Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Montclair, NJ (10/19/09) – Senior forward Michael Cullen (Clementon, NJ / Highland) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Cullen becomes the third Red Hawks to garner weekly honors from the league this season.

Cullen earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after tallying five points in a pair of league victories which helped the Red Hawks secure their second consecutive NJAC regular season championship. He opened the week by assisting on MSU’s first goal in a 2-1 NJAC road win at Ramapo. Three days later, he notched a pair of goals as the Red Hawks rallied for a 4-1 come-from-behind NJAC win over Richard Stockton, marking their NCAA-record 43rd consecutive victory at home.

Cullen currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in both points (20) and goals (7).
