Montclair, NJ (10/28/09) – On Saturday, October 31, Breast Cancer Awareness month will come to a close and the Montclair State football and field hockey teams will be looking for not only important victories on the field.

The Red Hawks will join the fight against breast cancer as the MSU field hockey team takes on local rival William Paterson at 1:00 pm. Later that evening it will be the Montclair football teams’ turn as its hosts Western Connecticut in an NJAC matchup beginning at 6:00 pm.

The field hockey team is looking for support in the “Believe in a Cure!” cause. Montclair will wear Pink t-shirts during its warmup period and also sell those shirts as well as take in other contributions which will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

For the second straight week all members of the Red Hawk football squad will don pink socks and wristbands to show their support for the cause. In addition there will be several apparel items on sale and donations accepted with all of the proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Princeton, NJ.
