Walsh Selected to Division III Field Hockey Senior All-Star Game

Montclair, NJ (11/02/09) – Senior midfielder Megan Walsh (Lumberton, NJ / Rancocas Valley) was named as one of the 38 players chosen to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior All-Star Game.

Walsh will take part in the contest on Saturday, November 22 at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA (9:30 am) just prior to the NCAA Division III national championship game. Walsh becomes the eighth player in Montclair State history to be selected to play in the game as she joins Megan Ulicny and Jen Carbonaro, who played in the 2003, Robyn Apicelli and Alexandria Kelly, who each partcipated in 2005, Kristen Swartz in 2006 and Jenna Gallo last season.

Walsh ranks among the top scorers in Montclair State history. Appearing in all but two contests the last four years, she has found the back of the cage 18 times in her career while also adding 18 assists for 54 points. She ranks 14th all-time in points scored and the former First-Team All-NJAC and NFHCA Second Team All-Region pick is No. 7 all-time in assists.
