With
artistic direction by Lori Katterhenry and Nancy Lushington, these performances
by Montclair State University dance majors will feature a culminating work (She
could never remember which was better...safe?...or sorry?) by celebrated
choreographer Doug Elkins, who has been working with students in the dance
department since August. Also featured is a work by the renowned Robert Battle,
and Pearl Primus’ Bushache Etude.
Doug Elkins returns to Montclair State as choreographer in March with Fraulein
Maria, a cunning deconstruction of Rogers and Hammerstein’s movie classic Sound
of Music-- coming to the Alexander Kasser Theater March 25—28th!
