Montclair State Campus Safety Committee to Hold Open Forums on Public Safety Beginning 4/15

Montclair State University Chief of Police Paul Cell announced a schedule of open forums to provide information and to discuss various public safety ideas and concerns on the Montclair State campus. All staff, faculty, and students are invited to attend.

“We’d like to provide the entire campus community with an opportunity to learn and understand what the plans are for all areas of public safety and to provide a forum for their questions and concerns, as well,” said Chief Cell. “The speakers at each forum represent a committee of University staff and faculty members who help formulate the processes and policies regarding public safety issues.”

The forums are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in Student Center Room 417
Topic: Personal Safety
Presenter: Chief Paul Cell

Monday, April 19, 2010 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in Student Center Room 417
Topic: Road Safety/Traffic & Parking
Presenters: Captain Boyd Lyons and Mr. Evrim Ay

Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in Student Center Room 411-412
Topic: Facilities and Lighting
Presenters: Dr. Timothy Carey and Mr. Jim Cassidy

These open forums will provide community members with information on changes within these specific areas and provide an opportunity for questions.
