Patterson, one of just two Division III runners in the Division I dominated field, registered a time of 1:03.95. The mark put Patterson in the Top 10 on the list of qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Championships which will be held May 21-23 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Patterson also ran on the leadoff of the 1,600 meter relay team that finished ninth in the CTC section of the event. Evelyn Sha (East Brunswick, NJ / East Brunswick), Leah McClish (Old Bridge, NJ / Old Bridge) and Farida Jawando (Colts Neck, NJ / Monmouth Regional) put forth an ECAC Championship qualifying mark as they ran 4:08.11.
On the men’s side, senior Eugene Asimou (Livingston, NJ / Livingston) finished 10th in the shot put. Asimou posted a mark 15.42 meters. Montclair also took part in the CTC section of the 1,600 meter relays finishing seventh. The team of Will Brown (Gloucester, NJ / Palmyra), Terry Iavarone (North Arlington, NJ / North Arlington), Adenford Jean-Philippe (Irvington, NJ / Irvington), and Timothy Lynch (Bayville, NJ / Monsignor Donovan) ran 3:26.34.
The Red Hawks are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, May 8 as they compete in the 2010 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships at The College of New Jersey in Ewing.
