Patterson Takes One Last Shot at TCNJ Last Chance Meet

Ewing, NJ (5/20/10) – Freshman Ashadaya Patterson (Trenton, NJ / Northern Burlington) finished second in the 100 hurdles and eighth in the 400 meter hurdles as she was the lone competitor taking part in the TCNJ Last Chance Meet on Thursday.

Patterson, the NJAC Outdoor Rookie of the Year, was looking to better her standing on the NCAA provisional list as the meet was the last opportunity for athletes to qualify for the Division III Championships which will be held May 27-29 in Cleveland, OH.

Patterson placed second in the 100 hurdles as she clocked in at 15.03 seconds during the preliminaries. She then finished second to Kristen Bates of Messiah College in the finals as she ran 14.89 seconds. Bates is currently ranked No. 1 in Division III in the event. The time left Patterson ranked 23rd overall in the nation.

Patterson then placed eighth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:04.38.
