The Department of Mathematical Sciences will be hosting an open house for its EdD (Doctorate in Education) in Mathematics Pedagogy program at MSU. It will be held on Tuesday, June 29 from 6--7:30 pm in Richardson 226.
The Ed.D in Mathematics Pedagogy is appropriate for mathematics educators at all levels. The program prepares students to work as mathematics educators in four- and two-year colleges, mathematics curriculum developers, administrators and leaders in school districts and educational agencies, and research-based teachers in the classrooms. The course of study blends practice with research.
Faculty will present an overview of the program, current students will speak about their experiences, and a recent graduate will speak (via teleconference) about her first year as a mathematics educator at the university level. The open house will also provide an opportunity for you to meet other potential applicants over snacks and light refreshments.
We are currently accepting application to the program for the Fall, 2010 semester.
Please RSVP and/or direct questions to eddmath@mail.montclair.edu.
