D'Andrea Named NJAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Montclair, NJ (9/12/10) –  Senior running back Chris D’Andrea (Union, NJ / Union) eanred the first award by a Montclair State player in 2010 as he was chosen the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday.

D’Andrea earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after helping to propel the defending NJAC Champion Red Hawks to a season-opening 34-0 victory over Westfield State. He opened his senior season by notching a career-high 174 yards rushing on just 16 carries, including a 42-yard touchdown run. He also added two receptions for 47 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown reception.

D’Andrea, who averaged 10.9 yards per carry in the victory, currently leads the NJAC in all-purpose yards per game (239.0).
