Montclair, NJ (9/20/10) – Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Bosland (Boonton, NJ / Boonton) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It is the second straight week that the Red Hawks claimed one of the league's weekly honors.
Bosland earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Red Hawks extend their winning-streak to five games with a pair of non-conference victories. The reigning NJAC Rookie of the Year opened the week by collecting nine saves in a 3-1 road win at Stevens. Three days later, she extended her streak of minutes played without surrendering a goal to 103 by collecting four saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Susquehanna.
Bosland currently ranks third in the NJAC in both goals against average (1.50) and save percentage (.791).
