To the Campus Community:
On the morning of Wednesday, October 27, the University will be hosting two high-profile events on campus: the Jobs for Jersey Economic Forum and the final day of the PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies’ International Symposium on Sustainability Science.
Since the attendees for these two events have been instructed to park in the Red Hawk Deck, please be aware that the volume of vehicles using the deck on Wednesday morning is expected to be considerably greater than usual. As a result, for the first time in many weeks, it may be necessary to close the deck to vehicles without a Red Hawk Deck permit (a transponder) at some point during the morning. Vehicles with valid permits will continue to be allowed to park in the deck.
Although the Red Hawk Deck will accommodate as many vehicles without permits as possible, it may be necessary to close it periodically to non-permit vehicles until spaces become available again during the morning hours.
It is recommended that drivers of vehicles without Red Hawk Deck permits be prepared to use alternate parking. Those with surface lot permits may park in the appropriate lots. For those without a surface lot permit, parking options include the NJ Transit Garage and the metered spaces in Lots 17 and 20A.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
