The Montclair State University community is invited to attend Students Speak Out: The Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy, a panel discussion on the U.S. military’s current policy regarding gay service personnel, to be held in University Hall Room 1030 on November 8 at 2:30 p.m. Co-sponsored by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Center, and the Office of Veteran and Military Resources, the event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
Students Speak Out will feature two panels of students, one from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community, and the other from the Veteran and Military community, and will be moderated by Professor Harry Haines, chairperson of the Department of Communication Studies and Vietnam Veteran.
The discussion is intended to shed light on the current state of the controversial policy, and to allow students to discuss the situation and to voice their opinions. With students from two of the communities that are directly affected by the policy weighing in on the topic, Students Speak Out: The Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy is sure to be an enlightening event. Please join us on November 8!
