Carroll Chosen NJAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for Second Time

Montclair, NJ (11/8/10) – Freshman midfielder Brittany Carroll (Kingston, NY / Rondout Valley) earned her second straight New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honor on Monday.

Carroll closed out her first season in fine fashion as she scored three times as the Red Hawks split a pair of games in the final week of the season. Carroll scored twice in the second half as MSU finished off its suspended contest with Kean University posting a 6-0 triumph. She then scored Montclair's lone goal as the Red Hawks fell to William Paterson in the season finale, 3-1.

Carroll scored eight goals over the final four games to finish with a team-leading 11 while finishing second in points scored with 23. Carroll finished ninth in points scored in the NJAC in fifth in goals. In NJAC games only, Carroll was second in both categories.
