Montclair, NJ (12/13/10) – Junior Jaime Ericson (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Ericson earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after averaging 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting .519 from her guard position in a 1-1 week of non-conference play for the Red Hawks. She opened the week with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, while adding eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal in a 60-58 defeat to Baruch. Three days later, she recorded a double-double which included 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 55-51 victory over Susquehanna.
Ericson, who connected on the clinching free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win over Susquehanna, currently ranks third in the NJAC in three-point field goal percentage (.452).
