MSU And NJ TRANSIT University Partnership Program - One Week Of Free Rides For Students

Montclair State University's Division of Student Development and Campus Life is happy to announce that MSU has joined NJ TRANSIT in a partnership that gives students more transportation options and opportunities.

There are great things on the horizon. NJ TRANSIT representatives will be on campus during the first week of September to answer questions about service, routes, and fares. MSU is working with NJ TRANSIT to develop a link from the MSU Web site that will provide information about traveling on NJ TRANSIT.

To better acquaint students with NJ TRANSITÂ’s services, there will be a one-week free trial from Wednesday, Sept. 8 through Wednesday, Sept. 15. Students must have a valid school identification card to show the conductor, bus operator or fare inspector, to enjoy the free ride. Look for e-mails, posters and flyers on campus for more information.

This is just the beginning. Soon, students will be able to purchase a monthly pass for NJ TRANSIT rail, bus or light rail service at 25 percent off the regular monthly pass price. Best of all, students can purchase passes online.
