Ayanbeku Selected NJAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

 Montclair, NJ (1/24/11) – Senior forwarKisandra Ayanbeku (Brockton, MA / Randolph) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Ayanbeku becomes the second Red Hawks to win the honor this season as she joins junior Jaime Ericson (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central), who was selected on December 13.

Ayanbeku earned NJAC Player of the Week honors after averaging a double-double 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week of conference play for Montclair State. She opened the week by posting 10 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the Red Hawks’ 64-41 NJAC win over North Division foe Rutgers-Newark. Three days later, she notched her eighth double-double of the season with 17 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, and one assist in a 57-44 NJAC victory over rival TCNJ.

Ayanbeku currently ranks second in the NJAC in free throw percentage (.800).
