Jose Figueroa of MSU's Curriculum and Teaching Department and four MSU students grace the cover of the December/January issue of the American Federation of Teachers' On Campus magazine as part of the lead story, "Clinical Connections: Finding What Works in Teacher Education." Figueroa is a Newark resident.
The article cites MSU's exemplary program and describes the evolutionary process that brought the University to "what many people believe is the cutting edge."
"If you arrive (at MSU) armed with the most current recommendations of what to look for in a thriving teacher education program, you'll leave with plenty of evidence that it is happening there," the article reads. "...Montclair's progress has corresponded with the findings of a growing body of knowledge about what works in teacher ed."
