Montclair State offers doctoral degrees, master's degrees, certificates, and certification programs in nearly 100 fields of study. Programs are flexible and fast-paced, and aimed at accommodating the unique needs of graduate students by offering day, evening, weekend, and hybrid courses, as well as dual bachelor’s and master’s programs.
At the Open House, representatives from the various graduate programs will be present to answer program-specific questions and explain how a graduate degree can help achieve educational and professional goals. In addition, there will be breakout sessions throughout the day for many of the programs.
“As the economy begins to rebound, and people are thinking about their next career move, Montclair State’s graduate programs offer a rich menu of possibilities for consideration,” says Joan Ficke, dean of The Graduate School. “Changing your career trajectory can be a challenge. We partner with students every step of the way as they work to achieve their goals.”
Montclair State’s graduate degrees include a variety of program concentrations in fields such as education, geoscience, public health, audiology, communications, and theatre, among many others. The Saturday-only accelerated MBA program is designed for busy professionals and can be completed in just 18 months. The University also offers the only doctoral programs in environmental management and audiology in New Jersey.
With a focus on high-quality education, flexible hours to meet the needs of employed students, and affordability, The Graduate Program at Montclair State continues a 75-year tradition of achievement and excellence in graduate education.
Ficke was recently appointed dean of The Graduate School. In a distinguished and diverse 34-year career of service at Montclair State, Ficke has served in many key academic positions, most recently as the University’s senior vice provost.
